No. Many of the families we work with reach out before things get to a breaking point — and we think that's exactly right. If you're sensing that things are heading somewhere hard, that's enough of a reason. You don't have to wait until you're in the worst moment of your life to ask for support.
Reach out and tell us. We operate on a sliding-scale model and we do not turn families away because they can't pay the standard rate. We will find a way to get your family what it needs. Cost should not be the thing that stands between you and support.
We respond to every message, typically within 24 hours on business days. If your situation is acute, say so in your message and we will prioritize your response. No family gets lost in a queue here — we track every inquiry manually.
We listen to what your family is facing, ask questions that help us understand the full picture, and tell you honestly what we think the right next step is. There is no pressure to enroll, no pitch, and no judgment. If Safe Harbor is the right fit, we'll say so and explain how it works. If something else would serve you better, we'll tell you that instead.
Yes. Everything you share with us stays within UTAS. We will never sell, share, or distribute your personal information. What you tell us in intake, in calls, and in messages is held in confidence. Families trust us with things they haven't told anyone else — we take that seriously.
Our primary focus is U.S.-based families navigating domestic child welfare and family court systems. That said, if you're outside the U.S. and you're facing a complex family situation, reach out — we'll be upfront about what we can and can't offer, and we'll do our best to point you toward the right resources.
